Wedding Bliss: Printing the Perfect Wedding Materials

Planning a wedding can be a blissful, yet stressful time, and without supportive and accommodating friends, family and vendors, it can easily turn a dream into a disaster. As the mother of the bride, Angel Denker wanted the perfect wedding for her daughter and assisted her with the planning as much as she could.

An essential part of wedding planning is choosing the printed materials, which can range depending on the bride and budget. Invitations are often the print item most couples think of first, and frequently the only thing they think of until it gets very close to the big day! Angel’s daughter ordered her wedding invitations from an online printing site that offers customers to design and customize products. Upon receiving the invitations, Angel reviewed the quality of the invites and the envelopes and thought the envelopes looked low-quality. She went online and ordered aqua opaque envelopes but was unable to print addresses on the envelopes from her home printer. The ink was running onto the envelope and did not look visually appealing. Angel visited two retailers known for printing and was frustrated by the lack of interest, personnel and knowledge the employees had for her situation.

Angel was a neighbor and frequent customer of The UPS Store in Lighthouse Point in Florida and knew they did printing. Angel took the envelopes to The UPS Store and showed them to Bob Jackson, The UPS Store franchisee, and asked for his assistance. Bob told Angel to email an excel spreadsheet with the addresses and font of her choice and assured her he could handle the job. Within 24 hours, Angel had beautiful envelopes to pick up and Angel was sure she would be back to help with another wedding request.

Weeks later, Angel and her daughter attempted to order place cards online. After another unsuccessful attempt to print on her home printer and seeing the high prices of off the shelf options she returned to The UPS Store. Bob and his team were able to show Angel a variation of cardstock and design options and after finalizing her choices, Angel was able to return within one day to pick up her place cards.

“I like the one-on-one customer service and the option to go and pick up my orders in person versus shipping when time is critical,” said Angel. “The UPS Store location, the quick turnaround time and the "can-do" attitude of the staff is what keeps me coming back.”

The wedding took place on July 23, 2016 at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club and everything turned out beautifully. Angel will now return to The UPS Store with any printing needs.
