National Small Business Week is scheduled to take place from April 30 through May 6, 2017. In order to get the most out of this annual event, small business owners should be preparing now With advance planning, you can ensure that you are able to capitalize on the buzz in your community. Here are some ideas on how to celebrate Small Business Week in style.

Spruce up your workplace

How does your physical or online store look to a first-time visitor? As the owner, you may have a hard time getting feedback on that question. Before you participate in Small Business Week, try to look at your space objectively. Think of the impressions you would have if you entered the doors or visited the homepage for the first time. Would your brand shine through or be part of the background noise?

Once you complete this analysis, try to take the week leading up to the festivities to spruce things up and put your company's best face forward. Move your best selling products to the forefront. After all, it is crucial that you make a great first impression on first-time customers.

Connect with the Chamber of Commerce
